We know that our community goes beyond the four walls of our church and those who worship here. Our community includes the entire greater Fredericksburg area. We desire to truly see the needs of our neighbors and allow God to meet them through us. Our community extends to those around the globe who are seeking Christ or are in need of Him. We strive to meet as many needs as possible. We stand together with other followers of Christ in spreading the Good News of Jesus. The Good News is that He can make a difference in the life of everyone in our community; here in Fredericksburg, across our country, and around the world.

God created family. Family is about relationships that provide nourishment, growth, education, and protection of those involved. It is something to be nurtured and preserved. The family model that God provides us in the Bible causes us to value marriage, Biblical sexuality, and the sanctity of human life. God values family so much that He uses that same model when speaking about His followers. He calls us family, each of us becoming His sons and daughters as we choose to follow Him. God’s family is a place where we find spiritual strength, maturity, insight, and help; all while seeking to do the will of the Father.

Prayer is actively communicating with God. As Christians, we have the privilege and responsibility of expressing our thoughts, requests, and feelings to God on a regular basis. Prayer also involves listening to God as He reveals His will for our lives, opens His Word to us, and draws us closer to Himself in everything we think, say, and do. God continuously invites us to spend time with Him, to be honest with Him, to express our love for Him, to ask forgiveness when we fall, and to receive His help to stand once more. Prayer is how we get to know God, His character, His person, and His love.

In a time when many consider truth to be relative, we know that
truth is absolute. That absolute truth has been revealed by God in His Holy Word, the Bible. The Bible is the final authority on all spiritual issues and questions. A prayerful reading of it will pour that truth in to us and give guidance in all aspects of our lives. With God’s help, it is our responsibility to go and live that truth. The Bible tells us that Jesus Himself is Truth. He is not one truth among many. He stands alone as the only way to God. The one true path revealed through His death on the cross and His rising from the dead three days later.

Worship is the expression of our love and devotion to God. It is our response to God revealing His character to us and His love for us. We may express worship by singing, clapping, and raising our hands, but worship is so much more than that.
The Bible tells us that we should have a lifestyle of worship. Every activity in which we are involved; work, play, being with our friends and family, they should all be done as an expression of our love for Jesus. Truly, we should live a life of worship, devoting every moment in every day to acknowledging God.
