River University
Sunday 9am & Wednesday 7pm
At River of Life, our goal is for every person who comes in our doors to Discover Christ, Develop in their faith, and be Deployed by God for ministry. A key part of making that happen is our River University ministry. River University is a ministry where believers can learn and grow in their faith, their understanding of God’s Word, and their relationship with Christ. River of Life offers classes that will build spiritual maturity through Bible study and practical application of the lessons. This spiritual maturity is all part of the discipleship process.
Discipleship itself is simply allowing Christ to have control of every area of our lives. It is a gradual process and it does not happen overnight. It also does not happen in a vacuum. Growing as a disciple, or follower, of Christ happens best as we relate with and learn from other believers. River University seeks to be a part of that process in the life of the believers here at River of Life. We offer a varied curriculum with classes that speak to real life as a Christian in 21st Century America. We want to present eternal truth that is just as relevant today as when it was written thousands of years ago. Our primary focus is to teach God’s Word, seeing people’s lives changed as a result. We echo the Apostle Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians where he tells them, “And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.” (1 Thess 2:13)
